Shakur Stevenson has revealed that he confronted Floyd Schofield Sr, after he made feedback accusing his crew of poisoning his son.
Schofield was hospitalised on Tuesday in Riyadh after falling in poor health and was subsequently withdrawn from his scheduled bout with Stevenson by the British Boxing Board of Management [BBBofC].
The 22-year-old’s father and coach had earlier advised that the Newark man’s crew was accountable for his son’s sickness.
In a now-deleted put up on Schofield’s X account, which is believed to be run by his father, it learn: “They poisoned my son.”
Schofield Sr then argued {that a} masseuse who’s a part of Stevenson’s crew “wiped a cream on my son.”

Stevenson says he spoke to his rival’s father following the feedback.
“I ran into his dad,” the 27-year-old informed Ring Journal.
“I heard the poison excuse, I requested him.
“I mentioned, ‘yo, what’s up with this poison s***?’
“He kind of gave me his run down and he kind of let me know and gave me a hint that the fight wasn’t going to happen.”
