Eubank Jr was fined £100,000 by the British Boxing Board of Management [BBBofC] on Tuesday, after he smacked Benn throughout the face with an egg on the first press convention final month to advertise their April 26 grudge match on the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Reacting to the board’s resolution, the 35-year-old posted on X: “Worth every penny.”
“As such, the stewards of the board fined Chris Eubank Jr the sum of £100,000.”

The Brighton man’s promoter, Ben Shalom insists his fighter has “no choice but to appeal” the decision.
Eubank Jr’s resolution to slap his rival with an egg is a reference to the WBC reinstating Benn into their rankings following two failed drug assessments, which shelved their authentic October 2022 assembly.
The WBC dominated {that a} “highly-elevated consumption of eggs” was a “reasonable explanation for the adverse finding, although Benn himself did not accept this as a reason for the failed tests and has protested his innocence ever since.

‘The Destroyer’ had his suspension lifted by the National Anti-Doping Panel in November and is expected to reapply for his British licence in time for the fight, having given it up in the weeks after his positive drug tests emerged.
Speaking to Pro Boxing Fans following a second press conference last month, Benn felt his rival should be fined 10 times the amount given to him by the board.
“I think he should get a million pound fine for the slap,” the 28-year-old mentioned.
“Just due to the profile of the fight.
“I feel like it would be an injustice if it was anything less than a million pounds.”
The unique Eubank Jr-Benn assembly was alleged to happen at a catchweight of 157lbs, however their April showdown can be contested at 160lbs, with a 10lb rehydration clause on the morning of the battle.
